Assoc Prof Victor Gekara – Lead Researcher

Dr Gekara is an accomplished researcher, who has developed and led several major research projects and published widely in the broad area of industrial transformation, work and employment.

Specifically, his research examines the impact of new technologies on the nature and texture of work and workforce skills transformation.

He has, over the past 12 years, worked closely with many government departments and major industry players, investigating economic shifts and transformations, both in Australia and internationally and is a keen commentator on the future of work in the context of digital and technological changes at the organisational and sectoral levels.


Andrew Thompson – Research Editor

Andrew has covered the business, technology and resources sectors across Australia and Asia Pacific for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

He has worked as a journalist in East Africa, US and Europe, covering mining, technology and startups, for The Guardian, PBS and CGTN.

Andrew has also worked in research and communications for organisations, including RMIT University, The African Development Bank, Centum Investments and Angazia.
